Small group daily home education group

The 9am Club
Starting September · Ages 7–12 · 12 places only
Is your child already thriving in their LLP classes but ready for something that offers a little more?
The 9am Club is a brand new initiative starting this September, where the same 12 children will meet four mornings a week with their dedicated teacher – building real friendships, a consistent routine, and a learning experience that is genuinely personalised to them.
The group stays the same. The teacher stays the same. The 9am club is all about providing consistency within a small group environment so that children can build real friendships, grow in confidence and see real progress in their learning.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Maths and English

It is very common for children to have some gaps in their learning, or some areas they struggle with more than others — and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Every Monday – Wednesday, the 9am club will focus on small group maths and English lessons designed around where the children actually are in their learning, not where a curriculum says they should be. These sessions are specifically about filling gaps, building confidence, and complementing the rest of their LLP timetable by offering supported and specific learning.
Thursday
Wellbeing & Study Skills

Every Thursday, the group will learn study skills and focus on wellbeing. This session is all about learning how to learn and how to look after themselves as learners. A brief note about why this matters so much to us. The LLP ethos has always been about making children feel safe and seen and celebrated and giving them the tools that they need to succeed academically as well as as a whole person. But we recognise that within any given lesson, the teachers need to teach their subjects!
Thursdays at the 9am club are about really focusing on the skills that rarely get taught anywhere else — how to focus, how to organise your thoughts, how to recognise when you are struggling and what to do about it, how to be kind to yourself when something feels hard.
We think of Thursdays as building the emotional and mental foundations that will support your child not just in their learning but throughout their whole life.
Friday
Real Life Adventures (if you want them!)

We have deliberately built in one day a week where your child doesn’t have to go anywhere near a lesson if that works for them! You are free to decide how Friday works for your family – go out on a learning adventure, catch up with local home ed friends or attend LLP classes – it is up to you!
So who is the 9am club teacher?
We are so excited to announce that Courtney will be leading our very first 9am Club! So many of your children already know and love her — her kindness, her humour, her gentle way of getting the best out of every child she works with. We know she is going to build something really special with this group, and we cannot wait to see it.

What a typical week looks like
The 9am Club runs Monday to Thursday from 9.00 until 9.50am.
After that, your child can attend as many or as few lessons from the normal LLP timetable as you feel is right for them. We would recommend 2 or 3 other lessons a day as a general rule, (so a total of 3 or 4 hours of lessons 4 days a week), which will allow for your child to have a well balanced and rich timetable of learning without doing too many lessons, leaving plenty of time for outings, extra / independent learning and relaxation!
One thing worth thinking about: if your child currently attends LLP maths or English classes, or does any other regular maths and English work, it is worth having a conversation with us before September about whether to continue with these alongside the 9am Club Maths and English. Generally we would recommend that they do the 9am club Maths and English and one or two other classes/sessions for each subject but there is no one-size-fits-all answer — just drop us a message and we will happily talk it through with you.
In addition to the four weekly lessons, there will be an opportunity three times a term, for each child to meet up with their 9am club teacher for a friendly chat to check in with how things are going in their LLP classes generally and to see if they need any extra support. These sessions will run on a Monday between 10am and 11am and your child will be given 3 allocated slots per term.
The aim is for the 9am club to provide a small amount of daily structure and continuity that you can then build on to create the perfect home education day for your child based on their needs as an individual.

So much more than lessons
The 9am Club is built around learning — but what surrounds that learning matters just as much to us.
Courtney will not be just another LLP teacher — she will be your child’s teacher. Someone who knows them well, remembers what they said last week, notices when they seem a little quieter than usual, and is genuinely, wholeheartedly in your child’s corner. It means your child has someone to ask, someone to turn to, and someone who will share and celebrate their progress with them. Being in a class of 12 allows a different relationship to build across the year and creates a calm and trusting group dynamic. This is why many private schools limit their class sizes to a maximum 12 – 16 (although they charge a lot more!)
A warm, detailed and personal report which will cover maths and English progress, how your child is participating across the wider LLP community, and how they are growing as a person. This will be written from the perspective of someone that genuinely cares and knows your child.
This is where Courtney will share regular photos and lesson snippets so you feel genuinely connected to your child’s learning and know how they are getting on. You will also be able to connect with other parents from your child’s 9am club which will we hope create a lovely family dynamic
This will be optional and will depend on who signs up and where you all live, but our intention is to use the private Facebook group to encourage a once a term optional meet up (or more) between the 9am club children/families, giving the children the chance to build on their online friendships in person too. We will help facilitate these and get things started — but you will be completely free to organise whatever works for your group.
Because there will only ever be 12 children in the group, the membership area and chat function available on the LLP website will feel completely different to anything your child has experienced in a bigger LLP class. If they don’t yet have LLP friends, it will be a lot easier to connect throughout the week and Courtney will encourage this through suggested optional shared activities each week outside of class time.
When your child joins other LLP classes after 9am Club, they will already know some of the children in the lesson. They will spot their 9am Club friends and be able to say hi and learn together, discuss lessons after they finish and collaborate on their optional extra learning if they want to.
A little gift built into every term

Every term, one whole week is yours — completely free of charge. We have integrated this into the 9am club because we want you to feel like you can go on holiday any time you want and not have to pay for the week if your child misses it.
If you don’t want to go away, then your child is warmly welcome to attend that week as a bonus, on us.
But if you decide to take a week away— you can take it off without a second thought and without paying a penny whenever you want to. We built it in deliberately because we know that flexibility matters, and we want the 9am Club to feel like something your family loves being part of, not something that ties you down.
How it works is that in the second week of each term, you pay for one less week that the half term. So if there are 7 weeks in the half term, we only charge you for 6, regardless of whether your child attends all 7!
About the cost — and why we do it this way
The 9am Club costs £50 per week, per child. This is what is included:
Four small group lessons every week with Courtney — maths, English, find and fix, and study skills and wellbeing
A bespoke learning programme for Maths and English designed specifically to support your child, with regular feedback and marking as well as a weekly wellbeing and study skills session
Bespoke feedback every week within the group so your child always knows how they are doing and what to focus on next
Three dedicated 20-minute one-to-one Zoom sessions with Courtney each term — for your child, or for you and your child together
A warm detailed personal written report at the end of every term covering learning, participation, confidence and growth
Access to a private parent Facebook group with regular photos and lesson snippets from Courtney and interaction with other parents (if you want it!)
One completely free week every term — attend as a bonus or take any week you want off without worrying about having to pay for it!
Payments
We use GoCardless to manage 9am Club payments, which means you set up your Direct Debit once and your full payment plan is confirmed with all dates and amounts agreed from the start.
Payment is made towards the end of each half term for the following half term, so please do plan ahead for these dates. But once you are set up, that is it — the payments happen automatically and you will not need to do anything else.

We know that feels very different to the way LLP usually works, and we want to be honest about that. The 9am Club is a different kind of offer — a small close group with a dedicated teacher, personalised learning, regular one-to-ones and a genuine community built around your child and your family. The upfront payment is not about the money — it is about the commitment. We need 12 children who will truly thrive within this small daily set up, so that we can offer them the chance to spend real quality time together, build friendships, and grow as learners and as people. Obviously, if it isn’t right for your child, you are not tied in for the whole year, but we need to make sure that the group is consistent so that children can get to know their classmates and belong to something small and special.
If your child currently attends LLP maths or English classes, or does any other regular maths and English work, it is worth having a conversation with us before September about whether to continue alongside the 9am Club. There is no one-size-fits-all answer — just drop us a message and we will talk it through with you.
This is not the right fit for every family right now, and that is completely fine. But if your child is ready, if the timing works, and if this feels like exactly the right next step — we would love to have them.
Spaces are strictly limited to 12. If September is full by the time you see this, please add your name to the waiting list at the bottom of this page and you will be first to hear when we open the next group in January.
Free welcome meet up
Once our 12 children have been confirmed and the first payment has been made in July, we will invite everyone to a free introductory session with Courtney — so the children can start to get to know each other, and they know what to expect in September. The private Facebook group will be set up at this point too, so families can start making connections with each other long before the first session in September.
Pencil the date in your diary if you are serious about signing up:
FREE WELCOME MEET UP – 27TH JULY 2026 on ZOOM – time tbc
Please note that we need to receive the first half term payment before inviting your child to attend this session as the purpose of this session is for the 9am club children to start to get to know each other, Courtney and the format of the sessions.
