Intermediate French Year 1 (KS3) Topics (age guide 11 – 14)-1

Bonjour tout le monde!

Welcome to French Intermediate Year One!

This course is the follow-on to our Beginners’ French Year Two course, or for students who have studied French for a year or so before joining LLP.  The course is based on the textbook Dynamo 3.  After a swift revision of introducing yourself and talking about your hobbies, your family, and where you live, you will be introduced to new topics including:  different types of music, and your preferences, pocket money, and the environment.  In terms of tenses, you will learn the immediate future tense to talk about your plans and intentions, plus the past tense in the context of describing your Summer holiday.  You’ll learn how to talk about different types of transport, what you did on holiday, and give opinions about your holiday.

Materials:
You do not need to buy a textbook, as all materials will be provided on the website.
Please check the entries under “materials” for each lesson, as that’s where I’ll post Class Documents (sheets that, ideally, need to be printed out before that specific lesson) and Optional Tasks (additional, optional tasks for those children who to wish to practise what they’ve learnt after the lesson).

It’s always helpful to have pen and paper ready in case you need / want to write something down during the lesson.
