Welcome to Drama, Debate and Public Speaking!

In this class we will be exploring all three of these areas. With drama we will be exploring and creating scripts and working on our performance skills. In debate, we will be sharing our ideas and hosting friendly team debates. As part of public speaking, we will be writing speeches and exploring what makes a good speech by reading speeches written by others. Along the way, we will be playing lots of games and having fun together.

For Drama, Debate and Public Speaking there is not a fixed plan – Each term we will cover a variety of activities. These include planning and hosting class debates, drama games, script reading and writing, analysing speeches and creating our own speeches. The lessons and fun and interactive and help to build confidence!

For safeguarding purposes, each Zoom lesson includes a brief registration at the beginning which requires children to have their webcam switched on. If your child would like to join lessons but is anxious about this or needs to have their face covered during lessons for religious or any other reason please get in touch, and we can arrange an alternate method of registration for them.
