If you are new to home education or new to Learn Laugh Play, we warmly invite you to our next weekly Q & A for newly home educating parents which is run every Wednesday at 2pm. Jacqui will happily answer any questions, and give you some helpful information to get you started. You will have a chance to meet other new to home education parents and if you want to, swap contact details for a bit of support.

How Home Educating Families Use LLP
One platform. A complete home education system
The timetable below is an example of weekly learning from one of our families. For £42 a week, their children have a broad and balanced learning timetable which caters to their children’s needs as well as their interests. You can see from the timetable that it is flexible and relaxed but at the same time there are big chunks of time when the children are actively engaged in learning, making life a lot easier for parents.
Perhaps most importantly, it is stress free! There are enough chunks of flexible time to mean that if your child misses a live lesson, they can watch the recording later in the week. This level of structure means that they are engaged and motivated but not overwhelmed.
Not just that, but over time, you can know that by showing up each week (for the live lesson or the recording), your children are learning consistently and covering everything that they need to. Consistent membership of classes means that children will make great progress in their learning and their confidence.
Wednesdays:
9am – Breakfast Tables with Nick
(2nd Slot for Optional Extra Learning)
(Allocated time for reading)
12pm – Maths – Stress = Happy with Nick
1pm – Focus on Science with Emma
(Carrying on with the practical element from the Science lesson because they want to!)
Thursdays:
9am – choosing to start slow and relaxed with a lazy breakfast!
10am – Spanish Intermediate Year 1 with Jen
11am – Focus on English with Beth
(Off out with local home ed friends to climbing and the park for the afternoon!)
Fridays:
Only one lesson today so in charge of making pancakes for everyone!
11am – Writing and Illustrating a Book with Jane
(Free relaxed time for the rest of the day – which is either spent out and about with Grandad when he is free or more independent project work)

Rather than dipping in and out of individual lessons, many of our families use Learn Laugh Play as their main education provider — creating a balanced, engaging timetable each week with ongoing learning provided by our well-loved teachers and the added bonus of being able to build real friendships with their classmates. We are one of the few providers that offers the ability to connect with classmates directly and safely from their own membership area on our website and the children love this part of Learn Laugh Play!

Home education online allows children to learn from home through live, structured lessons delivered by experienced teachers. At LLP, our home education online programme combines academic learning with creativity, social connection, and flexibility, helping children thrive both educationally and emotionally.
Yes, LLP offers a broad and flexible curriculum for home-educated learners across the UK, including core subjects and a wide range of enrichment classes. Families can choose a full timetable or create a bespoke learning programme from over 200 classes, allowing you to tailor your child’s education to their individual needs, interests, and goals. Typically families choose between 8 and 15 classes a week per child, but our £3 family classes are priced per family so if more than one child attends, as long as they are siblings and live in the same house, you only pay £3!
LLP offers online home education classes for children from age 5 through to age 16, including GCSE, IGCSE, and Functional Skills courses. Our flexible approach allows each child to learn at their own pace, with support tailored to their individual needs and stage of development.
Our age ranges are guidelines, and children are welcome to join a younger or older class if it feels like the right fit for them.
No — LLP offers a flexible membership designed to support families. Once you have signed up for a class, the place is yours for as long as you want it. Even in the holidays when we pause payments, your access and your child’s access to your membership areas is still safe. Sessions are paid weekly, and you can adjust or cancel your classes at any time. Your membership remains protected and ongoing, so you won’t lose your place within the LLP community.
