Hello! I’m Helen, welcome to Film Studies! I am very excited to be learning about the world of film with you and I look forward to seeing you there!

I hope you’re excited to immerse yourself in the world of films. Each week children will see short clips of  films and analyse the characters, different shots and mise en scene. This is a pre GCSE class and is a great introduction to film studies. Each week there will be a different film to watch at home which will be listed in the resources. All films are rated 12A and below.

*Occasionally I will have to change films from original planning due to them being taken down off Netflix or Amazon Prime but the film will always be named the week before. *

For safeguarding purposes, each Zoom lesson includes a brief registration at the beginning which requires children to have their webcam switched on. If your child would like to join lessons but is anxious about this or needs to have their face covered during lessons for religious or any other reason please get in touch, and we can arrange an alternate method of registration for them.
