Spanish Intermediate Year 1Topics (age guide 11 – 14)

¡Hola!

Welcome to Spanish Intermediate Year One!

This course is the follow-on to our Beginners’ Spanish Year Two, or for students who have studied Spanish for a year or so before joining LLP.  This course is based on the textbook Mira Express 2.  After a swift revision of introducing yourself and talking about your hobbies, your family, and where you live, you will be introduced to the past tense in the context of describing your Summer holiday.  You’ll learn how to talk about different types of transport, what you did on holiday, and give opinions about your holiday.  In the Spring term you’ll learn about shopping for clothes and food, and you’ll revise the future tense, so you can plan a shopping trip or a party in Spanish.  In the Summer term you will study the topic of Healthy Living, and you’ll learn to discuss whether your own diet is healthy or not, and to describe feeling poorly.  We’ll also revisit the future tense, to enable you to express future intentions for a healthy life.

Materials:
You do not need to buy a textbook, as all materials will be provided on the website.  
Please check the entries under “materials” for each lesson, as that’s where I’ll post Class Documents (sheets that, ideally, need to be printed out before that specific lesson) and Optional Tasks (additional, optional tasks for those children who to wish to practise what they’ve learnt after the lesson).

It’s always helpful to have pen and paper ready in case you need / want to write something down during the lesson.
