CLASSES YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS!
GCSE French Year 1 (AQA)
Monday 2pm
This two-year course will help you prepare for the new specification AQA French GCSE. The Y1 course is aimed at students going into KS4, who already have some knowledge of French.
Speaking French Class (AQA)
Monday 9am
Did you know that the new AQA GCSE French speaking exam is only 10 minutes long, and yet it counts for 25% of your overall mark? Or that the speaking exam includes 3 very specific tasks which are marked according to six different marking criteria?
At LLP, we believe it’s essential for students to have a clear understanding of each of those 3 exam tasks, as well as the highly prescriptive mark schemes.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
I have been working on a bit of history of home education (more on that to come soon!) and it really struck me the other day that learning is naturally a COOL thing to do! Unfortunately for many children, learning has been given a bad reputation because of being forced to learn certain subjects in a way that isn’t interesting or engaging!! Way way back before schools were invented, children grew up naturally curious and learning about life through their family and their community. They wanted to learn because it was relevant and interesting and because all human beings are naturally curious. I think it is important that our children understand the difference between forced learning and learning as a natural and fun part of being a human being! Do you agree?
LOLLIPOP’S ADVENTURES
Lollipop the LLP Bear has been busy planning her next adventure! She is off to Lincolnshire to spend a wonderful week with an LLP family, enjoying lots of fun, laughter, and exciting adventures along the way.

WEEKLY WELLBEING IDEA
What about setting up a a no-screen hour once a day? You could make it extra magical by lighting a candle, sharing an activity (like a puzzle or game) or just all read your own books side by side. Shared calm is a beautiful thing! If your children are used to unlimited screen time then even setting it up as a once a week ritual can make a big difference and they will probably find it surprisingly enjoyable!
